Although it was closed decades ago only this year they agreed to sign off the paper for FAA to remove them, thus the right hand pattern for 18. The pattern change message is appended to the end of the AWOS broadcast. While it was RH we got a few guys flying LH (I corrected quite a few). Now it is LH, some people are flying RH. I do notice many pilots don&amp;#39;t listen to AWOS. Frequently pilots call UNICOM asking for wind and active runway info. Most of the time there was no one at UNICOM!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Yesterday I was at KEYE. The wind was almost down runway 21 at 7 kts. However, two guys were using runway 3 and an airplane coming from the north called for 21. The guys on 3 landed and we took off on 21. Later when we were almost turning base for 21 another guy called 3 mile final straight in. When we got to short final a Cessna decided to taxi to the active for take off. We had to remind him not to. Too many pilots don&amp;#39;t pay attention. You really have to watch out (like defensive driving).</content><link rel='edit' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/14001215/1656688092425224433/comments/default/2444364793284615786'/><link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/14001215/1656688092425224433/comments/default/2444364793284615786'/><link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://www.papagolfchronicles.com/2010/09/worst-landing-ever.html?showComment=1283807758239#c2444364793284615786' title=''/><author><name>Ted</name><uri>http://www.blogger.com/profile/10571892841375323102</uri><email>noreply@blogger.com</email><gd:image xmlns:gd='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005' rel='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005#thumbnail' width='16' height='16' src='http://img2.blogblog.com/img/b16-rounded.gif'/></author><thr:in-reply-to xmlns:thr='http://purl.org/syndication/thread/1.0' href='http://www.papagolfchronicles.com/2010/09/worst-landing-ever.html' ref='tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14001215.post-1656688092425224433' source='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/14001215/posts/default/1656688092425224433' type='text/html'/><gd:extendedProperty xmlns:gd='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005' name='blogger.itemClass' value='pid-928905880'/></entry></feed>
